Radio Settings

Defining the number of radios and their location in WriteLog

The next section in our "one-time" effort to set up WriteLog is the "Radio" section of the toolbar. Here, you need to ensure that some of your WriteLog radio selections are entered. The screen will look like:

WriteLog Number of Radios Dialog

The three items to note in this dialog box - Tune, which when clicked will key the transmitter, then "This Window is -> Radio Left," and "Number of Radios -> 1" need to be checked. This assumes a single radio doing the operating. The other items are used for Single Operator Two Radio (SO2R) and Multi-Operator contesting. Once you click on 'this radio is left', a little green L circle will show up in the Entry Window by the call sign field.

NOTE: in some SO1R/SO2R configurations, you will also need to click on 'Activate this Radio' as being able to change CW speeds or using the Escape key correctly. Users with Kenwood radios and the W5XD keyer have reported this.
