People were using You Tube big-time at the Dayton Hamvention. Yesterday saw the video for the Icom 7700 and today you can take a look at a video for the new Elecraft K3 — a hot radio first look.

Tip of the hat to Jeff, KE9V, over at Long Delayed Echoes who, I’m guessing based upon his blog posts, was fortunate not to drool on the radio!

The Ham Radio Blog, by DL6KAC, found a You Tube video of the new Icom 7700 from the Dayton Hamvention. The radio comes without the second sub-receiver, so is less expensive than the Icom 7800 (but then, a car is almost less expensive…).

I don’t know about the rest of you, but the e-mail traffic on the reflectors that I belong to was noticeably down. Since the reflectors are national, I can only assume it is because a few of us were at this little Hamvention in the Midwest.

Or something.

So, how was it? Dish! How was the Contest University? The Contesting Dinner? Meeting with the other ham radio bloggers?
